If you do not have a ready-to-wear size or at a loss for what size to start with, we offer the below sizing guidelines for our bra sewing patterns. If you have any sizing questions, feel free to contact us!

Sister sizes are bra sizes that have the same bra cup volume and underwire size. The difference between sister sizes is the size of the band. For example, the sizes 30D, 32C, 34B and 36A all have the same cup volume and use the same underwire. The difference between those sizes is the band. This blog post has instructions for how to modify the band to reach the sister sizes on this table.

The Marlborough bra is a perennial favorite of my custom clients since it provides such great support and shaping. One of the reasons I like it so much is that this style provides a great foundation for playing with different laces and prints for fun and variety.
The Marlborough is a pretty and supportive full frame underwire bra for everyday featuring:

Now is always the best time to buy. Everyone pays the same, best price every time. We don’t mess with sales, discounts or coupons.
All pattern pieces are separate, not nested, and clearly show the seam allowance and/or trim allowance as applicable. This allows for construction clarity and simplifies any pattern alterations.
The instructions are professionally illustrated, making the seemingly complex steps of bra construction very clear and easy to understand.
This pattern was graded by professionals who send their output directly into production so you can be extra confident that you have a great starting point for your garment.
This was my first time at making a bra and opted for the Orange Marlborough pattern as it covered my size. Downloading & printing was straight forward and came with clear instructions. First attempt wasn’t a good fit but with the help of YouTube & a little tweaking all is well. This is only to be expected with any pattern.
Looking forward to many more projects and can recommend Orange Lingerie.
But I have not made it yet!
After a couple of toiles I have a really well fitting bra that I'm very happy with. I found the instructions a little difficult to follow as it was the first bra I had sewn. Once I'd worked out the construction it's not a tricky sew and the pattern goes together well. The bra provides excellent support and nice shaping. My pattern size is one cup size larger than my RTW size and I used a larger wire than called for by the pattern size. I found it frustrating that the pattern is split into two size ranges as my size is close to the split so I ended up having to buy both.
I've made up a toile and the instructions were good however I found my shape difficult to match with your sizing. The website does not deal with those of us who are wide and need a bigger wire but don't have the volume to match! When I emailed you it was not very helpful. I sent the URL link to help explain someone else's solution but your respondent would not comment on other people's techniques. I'm assuming this may be a policy of your company but it is not hellpful. I suspect the reason for many people being interested in bra making is because they don't exactly fit RTW. If it was all as simple as changing a band size that would be lovely! A little bit more direction would be helpful so as to not waste time and material in numerous toiles!
It is a lovely shape bra. In my next toile I've decided to increase the sides of the frame to accomodate the larger wire size. I don't know how this will effect the natural placement of the wire ie where it will sit and how comfortable it will be long term. Maybe I should increase the width along the bottom to accommodate the extra length in the wire? Or maybe share it out between the two?
Great bra! Easy to sew. Good instructions; however, I did prefer watching Liz Sews videos for the construction. She is fabulous!
Had to add an inch to the band, rest of pattern worked.
