We have been working behind the scenes to bring you an even better experience each time you visit our site. Let’s take a look at some of the features of our new website design!
To make it easier for you to access and read our content, on our main blog page we grouped our blog posts in one of four categories: Guide, Inspiration, Patterns, Tutorials. You can click on these tags to retrieve all the articles pertaining to that topic.
Guides includes things like shopping guides and materials sourcing information. Inspiration is the category with ready-to-wear garments you can re-create with our patterns as well as other sewist’s completed versions of our patterns. The Patterns category includes pattern specific announcements and the Tutorials classification covers pattern alterations and the other sewing tutorials that we have written over the years. Of course, we also have a handy search tool so you can find for the exact post you are seeking.
Each blog post now gets the full width of the page (no more side bar!) and appears in a larger font than old site making it much easier to read.
To make it easier for you to learn more about our sewing patterns, we enlarged all the images and the zoom so you can get a closer look at all the pattern information and the garments. We also added a sizing information link on each pattern page so you can get quick access to a streamlined size page.
Our Resources page also got a refresh. We grouped bra and lingerie making supplies into categories like "Lingerie Sewing Starter Kit" to simplify what was a very long list of items, many of which are optional depending on your skill and interest level.
Throughout the process we prioritized mobile performance and appearance since so many of you access the site that way.
